National Foundation for Philanthropy (the Foundation) was incorporated under
the provisions of the Minnesota Non-Profit Corporation Act on July 12, 1978.
The purpose of the
Foundation is to promote philanthropy by providing a vehicle for charitable
donations which is responsive to the intensions of its donors.
The Foundation
accepts contributions restricted for particular charitable purposes or
particular organizations, which qualify under Sections 501(c)(3) and 170(c)
of the Internal Revenue Code (the Code).
The Foundation also accepts
unrestricted contributions, which may be designated by the Board of Trustees
to be distributed to organizations qualifying under Section 501(c)(3) and
170(c) of the code.
